These Terms of Service govern your use of pet care services provided by Pawsitive Companions. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms and conditions.
Service Agreement
Pawsitive Companions provides professional pet care services including but not limited to pet sitting, dog walking, overnight care, and related services as agreed upon with the client.
- All services must be scheduled in advance through our booking system
- Service times and duration will be confirmed prior to each visit
- We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet or client
- Changes to scheduled services must be made at least 24 hours in advance when possible
Client Responsibilities
Pet Information
- Provide accurate and complete information about your pet's health, behavior, and needs
- Inform us of any medical conditions, medications, or behavioral issues
- Ensure all vaccinations are current and provide proof when requested
- Notify us immediately of any changes to your pet's condition or needs
Home Access & Safety
- Provide safe and secure access to your home
- Ensure your home is safe for both pets and our staff
- Provide clear instructions for home security systems, if applicable
- Maintain adequate supplies for your pet's care
Payment Terms
- Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless other arrangements are made
- We accept cash, check, and electronic payments
- A service fee may apply for returned payments
- Rates are subject to change with 30 days' notice
- Holiday and emergency rates may apply as communicated in advance
Cancellation Policy
- Same-day cancellations may incur a 50% service fee
- No-show appointments will be charged the full service fee
- Emergency cancellations due to pet illness are exempt from fees
- Weather-related cancellations will be handled on a case-by-case basis
Liability and Insurance
Pawsitive Companions is fully bonded and insured through Business Insurers of the Carolinas. Our liability coverage includes:
- General liability for property damage and personal injury
- Professional liability for pet care services
- Bonding protection against theft or dishonesty
Clients are responsible for ensuring their pets are properly vaccinated and in good health. We are not liable for pre-existing medical conditions or injuries that occur despite proper care.
Emergency Procedures
- In case of pet emergency, we will contact your designated veterinarian immediately
- If your veterinarian is unavailable, we will seek emergency veterinary care
- You authorize us to approve emergency medical treatment up to $500 without prior consent
- All emergency medical expenses are the responsibility of the pet owner
- We will make every effort to contact you or your emergency contacts immediately
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for services. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, acts of nature, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We reserve the right to refuse service to aggressive or dangerous animals for the safety of our staff and other pets.
